When I first became more serious about learning photography some 30 or so years ago, I meandered through the art's history with mild appreciation but I was more interested in really learning all about the "new stuff" rather than spend time with the old. Now that I have what I'd like to consider a repectable degree of professional skill in the medium, I find myself drawn on a pilgrimage to once again meet and now better appreciate the true Masters who made an art out of what was otherwise simply considered as a new method of "recording" things and events.This book is a great collection of this man's work and this photographer is definitely understated in history. It is not until you realize the extent of his "portfolio" as well as his life's later achievements all having been created with a technology that was still very much in a daily self-discovery mode does the word "Wow!" jump from your mouth !!Read about this man if you love the art !
